OLT, in partnership with the National Sensory Impairment Partnership (NatSIP), are pleased to share the launch of a new Online Training & Coaching package of support for Sensory Support Service teams across the UK.

This programme empowers Sensory Support Services to offer enhanced training and support to school staff, improving the outcomes for CYP and enabling Specialist Teachers to focus on using their knowledge and experience where it can have the greatest impact.

Our approach is:

1. Impactful for Children: Evidence-based strategies ensuring 79.1% of children and young people meet or exceed their personalised SMART goals.

2. Rewarding for School Staff:
Engaging online modules and solution-focused coaching, with 85% reporting significant increases in confidence.

3. Enjoyable for Specialist Teachers:
Being trained to provide group sessions with school staff using psychological coaching and solution-focused techniques; thereby use their experience and skills in the most rewarding and impact way.

4. Sustainable for Sensory Support Services:
A scalable, cost-effective model fitting seamlessly into existing service delivery.

Sensory Support Services can offer schools:

  • Comprehensive training modules on deafness, visual impairment, and multi-sensory impairment

  • Solution-focused coaching for specialist teachers, enhancing service delivery

  • Ready-to-use resources and AI-facilitated ADPRs for targeted approaches

  • Ongoing support and a collaborative community of practice

Our partnership aims to create a landscape where every child with sensory needs can thrive. We're here to complement Sensory Support Services strengths, optimise your work, and advance sensory support in schools throughout the UK.

Every Sensory Support Service has unique needs. Let's explore how this approach can help children and young people with sensory impairments flourish in your local context.
